Early Heart Risk Assessment

Central Aortic Systolic Pressure (CASP) is one of the most powerful early predictors of cardiovascular risk. CASP has been shown to be an important factor in the relation to strokes and cardiovascular events.

Safe and non-invasive, pulse wave analysis is a really great test for people who are seemingly without symptoms, but who are about to have alot of disease. The digital pulse wave unit measures the reflection of pulse waves off the walls of the aorta and peripheral vessels. The general principle is that the higher pulse reflection scores indicate stiffer, more plaque bound vessels, and therefore greater imminent risk of cardiovascular events.

The new pulse wave technology is based on the health of the vasculature, indicated by its degree of elasticity.

Pulse wave analysis has recently attracted a vigorous amount of interest, with well over 50 studies published just in the last 6 months.

The digital pulse wave analysis unit has been approved by Health Canada as a Class 2 Medical device. The testing process will take approximately 15 minutes. The cost for the test is $40. To book your cardio pulse wave analysis call Blaine at (204) 294-7863 or email blaine@heartdiseasenomore.com
